Guide to the 3-Step Aqua Peel Procedure

Today, we would like to explain the stages of the Aqua Peel, one of the methods used for pore management. 

An Aqua Peel typically consists of a three-step process, with each stage serving a different purpose. 

Below is a summary of the characteristics of each step to help you understand the treatment.

Definition of Aqua Peel

An Aqua Peel combines Aqua (water) and Peeling. It is used to manage impurities within the pores that are difficult to remove through 

regular cleansing alone. 

This procedure applies specialized solutions to the skin to address the following:

• Sebum and surface dead skin cells

   

• Blackheads and whiteheads

   

• Skin impurities such as demodex mites

The procedure is designed so that the solutions used in each stage act sequentially.

Step 1: Exfoliation Using AHA Solution

The first step utilizes AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid), a water-soluble substance. 

A rotating tip supplies the solution to soften aged keratin and sebum on the skin's surface.

• Exfoliation and moisturizing functions

• Refining the skin surface

This stage serves as a preparatory step to facilitate the suction of impurities from inside the pores in the following stage.

Step 2: Pore Care Using BHA Solution

The second step involves a BHA (Salicylic Acid) solution, which is oil-soluble. 

Because BHA mixes easily with oil, it acts deep within the pores to dissolve impurities such as sebum and blackheads.

• Suction of blackheads and impurities inside pores

   

• Assistance in managing demodex mites

After the pores are cleared, it is standard practice to follow up with appropriate post-treatment care.

Step 3: Supply of Moisture and Nutrients

In the final step, active ingredients such as Glycerin and Hydro-Essence are applied to the skin. 

This stage protects the skin by filling the cleared pores and keratin layers with moisture.

• Skin hydration and soothing

• Support for skin barrier protection

Treatment Cycle and Maintenance

• Cycle: Depending on skin condition, the procedure can typically be performed at 1–2 week intervals.

• Frequency: The number of sessions is adjusted according to individual skin needs.

• Note: While Aqua Peel assists in keeping pores clean, it does not remove the underlying cause of sebum production. 

  Therefore, maintaining regular cleansing habits and moisturizing care is helpful for lasting results.

Post-Treatment Precautions

Daily activities can be resumed immediately after an Aqua Peel, and face washing or makeup application is possible within a short period.

 However, please note the following:

-Sun Protection: It is advisable to apply sunscreen diligently after exfoliation.

-Avoiding Irritants: Activities that generate heat, such as drinking, smoking, or visiting saunas, may need to be moderated for about one week.

-Cleansing Method: Wash the face gently without excessive rubbing and provide sufficient hydration to the skin.
